Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray

Trends come and go but sexy hair is always in, and Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray makes it so easy. A simple solution of salt, kelp and algae make a perfect foundation for a wavy, effortlessly bouncy style. I use it at night on clean, wet hair and wake up with (mostly dry) perfect waves, I use 2 curling irons to get a more uniform look to the curls and I'm out the door. I've tried several similar products but they don't stack up to the all around-ness of Surf Spray.

PureOlogy Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner

PureOlogy is a great example of a natural product in disguise; it's sold at fine salons, revered by professionals as great go to products that suit everyone and they're amazing for keeping your color fresh because their shampoos don't contain sulfates and have UV-inhibiting sunscreens. What most people don't realize though is that they are cruelty free; the products are all 100% vegan meaning they don't contain any animal ingredients and are not tested an animals, the packaging is recyclable and the botanicals they used are all certified organic. They receive accolades from all of the top magazines' readers polls which are well deserved- the line is complete without being cluttered and each product performs as it promises. I personally love PureOlogy because my thick hair becomes softer, not more tangled after I shampoo and the conditioner leaves my hair silky soft without being weighed down. Hair snobs rejoice- this one's for you.

Eminence Organics Sugar Plum Revitalizing Masque

I love homemade remedies and products, one of my favs was always mixing sugar and and olive oil in hand for a quick exfoliation. Maybe that's why I connected right away to Eminence. The products begin as fruits, veggies and spices organically grown in Hungary on a self sustaining, 100% wind power energy farm. After hand picking the ingredients, they are mixed in small batches and filled for a truly unique and fresh take on professional skincare. It's only sold in the spas and salons that use the products for their facials, and trust me- it's the best facial you'll ever have. In between facials though, I use the Plum Revitalizing Masque- even if it didn't leave my face feeling a kind of softness and newness that's almost sensitive to a breeze, I think I would use it for the scent. The plum smells subtly sweet and is a great antioxidant while the red clover soothes, raspberry leaf calms inflammation and the honey moisturizes. My days of wanting to hand mix a batch of homemade skin care are over, but luckily I found the next best thing.

Crystal Body Deodorant Stick

Ask anyone who knows me what I'm afraid of, you'll get answers ranging anywhere from flying to ski lifts, luckily trying new products isn't one of them or I would have never found the Crystal Body Deodorant Stick. Most mainstream deodorants contain ingredients like parabens and aluminum chlorohydrate with long suspected links to cancer and Alzheimer's which drove me to try the product initially. It's basically a dry salt stone which you wet before applying- I admit I was nervous since it isn't an antiperspirant so they say you might perspire more initially until your body adjusts to not having the plugs that traditional formulas form to clog the sweat glands. I loved it right away; it was easy to apply, lasted all day (even through work-outs), and washed off easily. I was surprised that I liked it so much better than my other deodorant I used for years and I definitely don't miss the white marks on the sides of my shirts either.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo and Body Wash for Eye Make Up Removal

I'm definitely not the make up artist who doesn't wear any make up, I still enjoy a little primping most days. In fact, it wasn't ever the whole putting the make up on thing that irritated me, it was the taking it off. Even the best cleansers designed for eye make up removal wouldn't remove it all and the specialty products burned my eyes. I got the idea of using baby shampoo for eye make up removal after reading that using it on your eyes prevents styes which is just basically an eye infection caused by many things like improper make up removal that I like to keep at bay. Just a little on a cotton pad takes everything away, leaves your lashes moisturized and the scent is amazing.
